A Poem I Wrote Based off of the Plot of my Daydreams

 Hi!

My name is Jennifer, and I'm 15 years old. I've been part of this site since the November of 2012. I have been struggling with MD since about 6/7 years old, and I'm finally going to share my story by posting this poem I wrote about my MD plot. It is basically the entire plot of my daydreams in a nutshell. I plan to make this into a song really soon, so when I finally finish recording it, I'll post that, as well.

To make this  a little more clearer before reading, my daydreams are about this 17 year old girl and this 17 year old boy. The girl has a rare lung and heart disease called, 'Pulmonary Hypertension,' and the boy  is bascically trying to keep her alive. The girl's name is Elizabeth Scholtiisakk, (Shollt-eee-shack) and the boy's name is Max Pieczonka. (Peak-zonck-ah). They are so in love, and they are together for two years.  They are world-famous musicians, and they have their own band called 'Reality vs. Fantasy.' Will Max succeed in keeping her alive? Or will Lizzie pass?

Thank you in advance!! I hope you like it!

Maladaptive Daydreaming

Just another ordinary day

Where I slip into a trance,

Where the whole world fades away,

And I daydream my life away…

The ocean waves whisper to me

The beach house sways along with the sea,

And inside the house there’s a girl, so extraordinary

Whom he loved so vastly

He knew that belonged

He knew he was lucky;

He composed it in every song

And the whole world listened and hummed along

He was her hero,

He was her knight,

He was the reason she was alive and alright

He helped her fight off her internal demons with all of her might

He was her beautiful darkness, and her shining, bright sunlight

He was known for being dark and uptight,

But he loved her; she was a beautiful sight…

He was the one she always ran to in time of need,

When it came to getting through to her,

He was the only one to succeed

He was the one she trusted, for he never made her bleed

She knew that they were meant to be,

She knew she was lucky

She sang it in every song,

And the whole world listened and hummed along

She was his silver, she was his gold,

She helped him fight off the savage winter cold

She was his, to have and to hold,

And she loved him for being so mysterious and bold

She was ever so quiet, ever so sweet,

And she didn’t keep their love discreet

With a heart so pure and strong,

She composed beautiful music for him, with lyrics of a love song

The entire world listened and hummed along…

Standing in front of the sea,

He got down on one knee,

Pulled out a diamond ring,

And said, “Sweetheart, will you marry me?”

She jumped around with glee,

Pulled him off of his one knee

And jumped into his arms screaming

Her effervescent tears just streaming,

Thinking that she must be dreaming

He could already feel the smile on his face,

The gleam in her eyes

As she walked down the aisle in white

The romantic flowers he knew she’d be holding,

The long dress she wore would be sparkling,

Her luscious, black curls let loose,

Him running his hands through them with no excuse

 The diamond rings shining,

Their lips entwining

But that day never came

And they lost their flame

He screamed her name

It was himself he blamed

Her absence, he never overcame

He will never again be the same

She lost to God’s game

Her departure set his heart aflame

His heart is sore forevermore,

While she lies in her box dressed in black

Now he composes this story in every song,

He still listens as the whole world hums along

He still lies awake until the beginning of every dawn,

He still brutally grieves for her,

Because she is forever gone,

Forever gone,

Forever gone,

Forever gone

He still brutally grieves for her,

Because she is forever gone…

Hey Jennifer, this poem is good, you should be proud of yourself! :) I can definitely see the connection between this poem and the day-dreams you told me about. I had also been meaning to reply to you message but it wouldn't let me. But I will still receive messages :) Hope you holidays are/were fantastic! :P

This is SO good! Oh my gosh I've always wanted to write, but I'm not so good at it. You definitely are, though. You've got serious talent! :)
