I believe truly the hardest part of fantasy is the confusion it causes between the real and idealized self. Fantasy based entirely in an idealized world also leads to feelings that we have misunderstood. Misunderstood ourselves, those around us, and our surroundings. When I wake from fantasy, harsh reality feels like a smack in the face. Its a continuos fight to soften the line between what is real and imagined. Pleasures feel better in fantasy land, people are more as "they should be", and I am the best version of me in dreams instead of in life.
