Spirituality, still small voice, and DD

I liberal spiritual person and go through t imes when I read a lot and am moved by the spirit (however you define it) that still small voice inside that speaks your truth.  There is a euphoric feeling that goes with that.  Looking back now, and having a better understanding of the role daydreaming has played, I have started to wonder how one distinguishes between the still small voice and the 'conversations' that play in my head.  The hard question is if you talk to God and God answers,  how different is that from a daydream where me as Anna talks to Peter, and Peter answers. 

 

Maybe this doesn't make any sense to some folks.  Anyone understand
