Should I Tell My Family?

For a while now I've been debating on if I should open up and tell my mom about my MD. I just recently told my best friend and she took it rather well. I'm afraid my mom wont have the same reaction as my friend though. Should I tell her? Or is it best to just keep it to myself? And if I should tell her how should I do it?
