Apart from the fantasy daydreams, some are replays of arguments that you may have had with someone. That is more like volatile or melodramatic daydreaming and it is difficult to come to normal after a heated argument as it goes on in the head. Any suggestions on how to overcome that?I find mindfulness meditation  useful for keeping all kinds of  day dreaming in check but people also talk of mindful daydreaming to enhance their creativity.I have not been able to do that- if one is aware of one's day dreams, how is it daydreaming?

 

Sometimes when one has done too much of daydreaming in childhood and may not have applied himself /herself to conventional studies as a result of which the imagination maybe over strong but linear problem solving skills may suffer. Since the exercises in the brain gym are interesting, it also helps curb day dreaming to an extent as the games require sequential thought as against random thinking associated with day dreaming.
