Daydreaming is often because of a strong imagination and a weak will or attention. Some of us are so caught up in our daydreams that it is difficult to focus on our work. If one looks at the article on passive attention, it hints at a possible  solution to reduce daydreaming. One can go through the entire attention series and come to one's own conclusions.
