What impels one to daydream excessively? Is it detrimental to one’s life? Can one stop?
A Breathtaking Life Lived in Daydreams, by Sergio Silveira
Written as a novel, this book tells of my own personal experience with Maladaptive Daydreaming, which afflicted my life for many years and the central thing that impelled me to continually go back to it. I describe in it how daydreaming actually lessened my feelings for the world and other people, and the reason for daydreams’ “unparalleled” thrill, and why it does not last, leading to the creation of brand-new daydreams.
