Do you think fantastical goals of the other world prevent you from having real life goals or the fantastical goals become your real life goals and impossible to achieve due to fantasy aspect of how things should be?

well , fantasy world makes you less excited about real life goals , disappointed to achieve them and it doesn't give you much time to achieve either of them .

You're both right. Like they say "The secret to happiness is low expectations". I seem to have an inverse reaction, the lower my expectations in my real life, the more fantastical my daydreaming expectations. and as the gap widens so does my depression.
