Hi,everyone, having stumbled upon this group by way of two others,I wanted to share my experiences with you,in the hope it may help others. Two years ago I realised I have Celiacs disease, where wheat gluten severely damages the intestines and brain.Having been gluten free for two years has given me a new lease of life, after 53 years of hellish turmoil.(am now 63) Best wishes Tony.

Hm, this is a strange coincidence actually. I have frequent stomach aches, and maybe 4 or 5 years ago I tested postive for Celiacs disease as well. There was a 10 percent margin of error however, and it was later determined that I did not have the disease.
Since going Gluten free,I've discovered a number of food sensitivities that increase the intensity of day-dreaming,the list so far being, all spices, citrus fruit, apples, walnuts, all hot drinks,onions,garlic,vinegar,tomatoes,ice-cream,chocolate,beef steak, pork fat, celery, anything fried in beef fat,egg whites, calabrese and Sage.I only drink water and gluten free alcohol(ie, no beer)and eat plain food,no manufactured mixtures, but I am so much better than two years ago.If I eat something suspect it often makes me extremely drowsy within 30 minutes.
Hi John,to be completely gluten free I would have frozen minced beef,a little onion, chopped mushroom and tomato for breakfast, packed up for work maybe salad stuff, sometimes vegetables I'd cooked the night before and warmed up in the microwave or cold meat, pork chop, chicken leg, also cooked the night before.I would also sometimes buy a ready cooked small chicken from the supermarket, good for three or four days, baked potato, fries, shell fish, ham joint. It's surprising what you can find when you have to,it all adds to the inventory. For my main meal in the evening I would have meat and two veg with gluten free gravy if necessary, that's quite readily available. However,I made something of a major discovery recently,I was becoming increasingly aware that after a substantial meal I felt as if I had a cannon ball in my stomach three or four hours later and this turned out to be insufficient hydrochloric/stomach acid, essential to breakdown protein(i.e.gluten)To promote production of stomach acid is very simple, there are a few things that can be eaten before or with a meal, celery, ground ginger sprinkled on,anything to with vinegar like pickles, pickled onions, chutney, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and brown sauce. This acid thing is very much age related but I feel it might be something that has been creeping up on me for a number of years and may be the solution to everything so I'm currently re-introducing previously banned foods to see how I get on,I've had an egg today and four wholemeal bread rolls so fingers crossed. This link may be useful    http://www.foodscout.org/benefits/hydrochloric_acid.html    Hope this helps, best wishes,Tony.

Hey Tony, if it's not too much trouble, could you give me a few examples of meals you would eat? When I think about it, there is gluten involved in pretty much everything I eat. I don't know what I would eat if I couldn't have bread. I essentially live off of sandwiches, cereal, and granola bars.
I've never thought about the connection between food and daydreaming before. I pretty much each a lot of bread and potatoes etc. Lot's of wheat and things like that. I might look into this more. Thanks.
