There are so many good posts! I haven't been on in a long time. I have been a Major Daydreamer as long as I can remember. For me, it has always been a help and a great escape. A couple of years ago, the medication combo I was on for depression (I believe this was the cause.) caused my daydreams to go away. It was all downhill from there.

My daydreams helped me get through the day, especially as an escape valve in professional situations. I thrived when I could just go "there" at times of pressure. It was very distressing when my daydreaming world disappeared. I could not conjure it back.

Long story short: Am now moving on to a new medication regimen and the daydreams are coming back. Mine are simply of an alternate present and they really help me cope.  Glad to be back.

I have been away for a while too. However, mine never stopped and while they help me cope with life, I feel it also hinders me from doing things I want to or need to do. But I'm glad yours seem to be more a positive for you!!
