I am kind of a paranoid person. Daydreaming honestly doesn't help. I truly believe I have MD, I have all the symptoms and I know for sure there is something different going on in my mind. However, sometimes I worry that it is just me being crazy, because having MD seems so unreal. I want to know, to be sure, so when I finally tell people and ask for help, I won't just seem as though I want attention. I would like help because my daydreaming is becoming a problem. Is there any way I can figure out if I really have MD?

Hey Margaret,

I think the reason no one has responded to your post is because there is no way for a person to know your  individual  situation. MD means something different to many people who identify as MD. It is not a recognized condition. Some therapist are understanding, some are not. The fact that there are some good therapist and some crap therapist has nothing to do with whether or not MD is a recognized condition.

I recommend you find a therapist that you feel you can trust and then be open with them about everything that is going on with you. You may have to go to a few to find one that is right for you.

thank you so much, this really helped. I hope soon to find someone i can talk to openly about MD.
