Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
I have had MD since I has 5 years old until 50 years old. Recently I cut off my toxic family and MD completely stopped.

This is more common than one can imagine. My MD is the result of not being able to my truest self. That is because I am in a narcissistic family cult. I am the youngest child and am to stay that way or I am disobedient or ungrateful.
I have, however, rebelled aggressively and detached from each family member. I am also trying to build independence slowly so I can have options.
