people think your lazy??

hi, im new to this website,

my parents think that im just lazy because i never get any work done, i didnt do as well in my gcse's as i would like but i still did good just not as well as i could of, during my exams i just stared at the paper and DD i had to snap my self out of it a few times and tell my self 'NO! , this is your exam stop DDing' , iv just started college this year and im still finding it abit difficult to get all of my assignments done but im getting them done, i think if you was to ask my parents how active i am they would say  ' not every she sits in her room all day doing nothing, shes quite lazy'  but im not, im really not lazy its just that i would rather DD i do try to do work, does anyones elce parents think that they are lazy because they DD?

I have the same problem. Hours just melt away when I'm in my head. You're using a lot of energy but not getting anything real done. People get mad at me for staying in the shower too long. It's a perfect place for daydreaming.

Oh that's a shame. I have severe difficulty focusing and getting anything done, but my parents (I'm lucky) are generally sympathetic and supportive. They realize that I struggle with attention and focus, and they've seen it before (my brother hands in essays two weeks late generally, but it's not cause of DDing.) Hopefully they come to realize that their daughter isn't lazy, but rather an incredibly creative individual! Good luck in college!
