Hi im new here, I just discovered a site like this existed. :)

I know this sounds ridiculously stupid but when I daydream , I forget my surroundings and start to act out my daydream. Ill end up running around the house and eventually bump myself somewhere usuallyI will trip or hit my foot on something hard. I mean its ridicoulous to imagine a 19 year old prancing around the house because of a day dream, my mom thinks it some type of excercise lol.  The most annoying thing is when I  misplace things, or unconciously put things in certain places because in my "dream world" im doing that action. Minutes later ill get back in reality and start wondering where the heck I've put it.  Anyone else have something like this?

Well I'm clumsy all the time anyway, but yeah. Often when I am DDing and pacing in my bedroom, I end up tripping over my radiator or something. Which is very hard to do, because there's not even a way you can trip over it really. Unless you climb onto my window sill, run off and purposely  catch your toes, but I can't imagine why anyone would do that. Ever.

With me, it's not so much picking objects up while DDing, it's when I move objects, DD for a few seconds, stop DDing and forget what I've just done. Like when I was playing Monopoly with my brother (well, arguing) I put my money away and started DDing, then stopped and blamed my brother for it. My said that I'd put my money back, and "that's why people believe in ghosts."

Sometimes I walk into the wrong room, or open a cupboard for no reason due to DDing. Although that might be something that runs in the family - my Mum once made a cup of tea and tried to put the kettle in the fridge. Lol.

And yeah, I have a tendency to walk into things/people/objects and sometimes knock things over.

I also made a blog post similar to this, I'll link you to it when I find it.

yeah youre not alone. Just last night i was at a resturaunt and was so into my daydream i walked outside with their glass cups I wouldnt have noticed if my aunt hadnt said anything. And sometimes i might finish making a sandwhich or whatever and end up putting like ham in the sink and my plate in the fridge. One time i left ketchup in the sink all night and never realized what i did till my mom threw it away and asked me about. Kinda embarrassing :/

I've found that sometimes when I'm out walking and I start daydreaming about something particularly upsetting, I find myself unconsciously breaking into a sprint. I've nearly run smack into people doing that.

When I was a kid, I did all sorts of strange things. I once threw a pair of socks in the garbage without even realizing what I was doing. My mother made fun of me for YEARS about that one. :(

Hi, I'm new here as well. :D

It's not stupid. :) I do some similar things, and other motions as well. I don't normally pick stuff up while daydreaming (unless I'm daydreaming while cleaning), but I can bump into things or trip over furniture. I don't daydream in front of other people though, because my motions look pretty odd. Either that, or I don't let myself get too deep into the imagery, so that I sit- mostly- still and not look too obvious. *shrugs* I think you'll find a few people on here do similar things.
