While we wait for researchers to delve into out commonalities to try and figure this MD thing out, maybe we can do some of our own research.   Or maybe this is a useless blog, but anyway, I have a disorder called Complex Hemihypertrophy which means that one side of my body is larger than the other.  Its not noticeable by other people but if they really looked they could tell.  My mouth is slightly off center because one jaw is longer slightly than the other; if I turn sideways to the left I look larger than if i turn to the right.   Just wondered if anyone else on here has this?  Just trying to find patterns or similarities, you never know what could matter.

Just wondered if anyone on here has ever had an MRI with some different than 'normal' result.  Mind you, what's really normal, right?  Im too chicken to get an MRI,  but wondered if there is some key to this in a pic of our heads.

Just found an old discussion about Gluten and daydreaming.  So, 2nd research topic, food allergies? Gluten intolerance?  Do a vast number of us have any of these issues?

No, not really prone to mood swings.

As for addiction, I definitely have some, books for one!  If I don't daydream, I have to find something else to fill the void I believe.   Honestly, if I could just deal with my mess of a childhood, this might all go away.   I'm chicken though : )    I tend to be able to control myself, so I might have been a binge eater, but I can stop myself . I dont go too far with things.  And maybe that's because I have daydreams to fall back on?   One of these days Im going to deal with my childhood.  Terrified though, so alas, I keep daydreaming.

I need a proofreader too as evident just below your email!  My ear size is almost indistinguishable but I didnt mention that my ears are not only different up/down but also one is farther back then the other.

Yes, its my right side.  People scoff at me saying that everyone's dominant arm is larger than their other side, but its the whole side, jaw, ears leg arm, stomach, etc.   I would probably weight a few pounds less if both sides matched.  My wedding ring finger is an 8, the same finger on my left side is a 9.

I totally agree, we should do our own research.  Anyway, since neither of you seem to have that condition, that probably has nothing to do with it.

How interesting. Which side? Would that mean that one side of your brain is slightly larger? I'm left handed which is how I have self explained my eccentricities. Some people would say that makes me "right" brained. Is your right side larger? Supposedly the right side of the brain deals with emotions and imagination which would make sense for us. Or if your left side is bigger maybe the right side of your brain is trying to overcompensate by doing overtime with imagination. I think it's a great idea to start trying to figure out patterns for MD. I've considered finding a therapist as a way to introduce our "condition" to more psychologists.
