I have Aspergers (quite high functioning), and I am a compulsive DD'er. I daydream while driving and while in bed at night. I was wondering just how many of you all might also have Aspergers....look it up (look up women with aspergers) for women because it presents differently from men. Just curious if there was a possible connection.
Anyway, like many of you, music is a big trigger, especially while driving. I find it a good thing to listen to music while writing on stories. It seems to me, that DD'ing is like a "choose your own adventure" book. Unlike many of you, I do not get obsessively tangled in my DD's or name characters or whatnot because I'm always the main character, but some can last for hours, especially at night or during a nap or a super long drive. Like those of you who drive and do it, I can miss turns, take wrong routes, and "blank out" during these times, going on automatic pilot.
