I have been daydreaming ever since I was a kid- different fantacies at different stages in life. Ultimately this impacted my social life, my observation skills, my personality and my studies. I did manage to score good marks, but I alone know how much I struggled to focus. I have discussed this with my family, but no one seemed to take this seriously.
I have often felt alone, felt like I was the only one with this issue. I was surprised to learn that there are so many sailing on this very same boat.
I recently started my masters and it has been around 9 years since I did my undergrad. Given my day dreaming habit, I have been struggling to study/ stay in the present. I really don't know how I studied earlier.
I am trying to find out different ways that can help me stay in the present and avoid wasting time. But daydreaming has become so attractive that sometimes I don't even have the will to try out different strategies.
I might do better if I have a study/work partner who also understands this habit and we can help each other out.
If you think this will help you, please let me know and we can work together... I study during the morning and evening EST hours.
