I've been reading a book written by the Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. (The old man from Gladiator). Marcus was practitioner of an ancient philosophy called Stoicism. He wrote the book to himself as a set of maxims and philosophical arguments, so that he could be a better person in his day to day life.
