It's some sort of creek or spring but I can't tell which. Reminds me of the pictures I drew when I was little when I heard there was a creek in the woods behind our house. I imagined it somewhat like this. It was only a small channel after all, nearly dry in the summertime. It did turn into a small brook or something like that after snow would melt in the winter. I love the forests around my Virginia home, although I am only allowed to wander once or twice a year when it snows. And I also think the rocks in the picture are pretty.
