I have a few different DD scenarios that I cycle through & over an undetermined course of time will switch over to the next. Lately though I've had a difficult time getting that connectedness feeling once I've move to my next scenario. When this occurs, I feel as though I'm suspended in space & it's terribly unnerving. Not sure what I can do to change this but I'm open to suggestions.

I think she's referring to switching to another DD. I understand how you feel because when I am beginning a new DD after being on the same one for a considerable amount of time, I also find that I am not as emotionally connected to the new one and this makes it seem less real/engulfing/satisfying and then comes the realization and anxiety of it just being a figment of my imagination and of the reality of my current situation.

I'm not sure if you are asking for suggestions on how to lessen the hold MDD has on you and therefore the anxiety associated with disconnection of new DDs or if you just want to rid yourself of the anxiety when switching and be able to fully immerse yourself.

If it's the latter, stay calm and listen to music that will complement your DDs (kind of like a soundtrack). If you don't think about it too much and don't focus on the anxiety, the DD will engulf you in no time. Anxiety tends to block out the DDs and make it more difficult to immerse yourself in my experience.

If you are attempting to lessen hold MDD has on you, then try to find activities that requires you full concentration - whether it be a physical activity, a show, talking to someone or etc. There are great suggestions on here on how to lessen MDD.

I'm kind of confused of what you're talking about. Are you talking about switching from one DD story to another, or are you replaying a few different scenes from your DDs over again? Are you loosing interest in your DDs, or are you changing from one DD story line to the next? I think I may have gone through what you are describing, but I might be able to help more if you explain in a little more detail. Thanks!
