"Interesting. Very happy for you! I can't imagine a life without dreams - I know I'll always have them, they're a part of my identity. The only thing that could help me is reducing the frequency, which I sometimes successfully do."

life is so much better

Although I created an account long ago, this is my first log in. I just have to say it, my life is so much better. Have you ever felt a breeze of peace wrap your entire body? I had no idea that maladaptive dreaming existed. Since that discovery, I tried to stop daydreaming. I was able to complete tasks without procrastinating and actually focus on things. The daydreams were only there because I wanted to escape the reality of being me. Now, I see life in a different perspective. What can I say?…See More

I know I can control it but it just means I still have it. The reason I believe it's neurological is because I never suffered any psychological trauma. Another reason why is because I was always a md so it seems I was just born this way. I know kids day dream a lot but when I was in grade school my class mates and teachers would notice I would day dream more than the other kids at school. Plus even when I'm trying to concentrate on something I involuntarily day dream which is another reason why I think it's neurological because it seems like our brain constantly does it automatically which makes me think that the brain just works differently from normal ones because of some neurological problem. I just want some research to be done before psychologist just classify it as some psychological disorder. Maybe it isn't, maybe it's neurological. Just wanted to throw that possibility out there.
