What would you do if...

...you met another MDer who you knew on here (let's say they had a picture of their face as their [whatever you call that picture that's beside your name, can't think what it's called]) and you recognized it was them? Let's say you met completely by accident, you were walking down a street (or something like that) and you saw them? Personally, I think I would just be staring at them thinking OMG it's someone else who has MD and is on Wild Minds and knows me on there!

And then whoever on here I had seen would be wondering why some random girl was staring at them like they'd just made a cloud light on fire or something. Then I would come on here and there would be a blog post reading: 'Today, I was walking down the street, and there was a girl walking, but then she stopped to stare at me like I'd made a cloud light on fire or something...'

Lol. Then I would comment "Uh... yeah... um, that was me..."

OK, so now I've told you EXACTLY what would happen if this happened to me, what would you do if it happened to you? (you saw someone who was on here, not a random girl [A.K.A. me] on the streets staring at you <P)

I think it would be awesome to meet someone from here.  Everyone strikes me as really cool.  I used to think everyone did this(DD), or something similar.  Only in last several years did I recognize it as unusual.  When I've mentioned it to others, I haven't been very encouraged in their responses.  Even someone I was pretty sure was the same.  Oh well.  Anyway, I would love to meet someone, but thank goodness for this site.  I wonder how I survived without it.

Wow, this person looks just like that person from Wild Minds Network! I'm gonna wait and see if they recognize me too... Ok, that didn't work. Hey, maybe two people with MD can use telepathy. I'll try it out! Hey! Hey it's meeee! Can you hear my thoughts? I have MD too! Turn around and look this way! Well, that didn't work either. Oh well...

 

Then I would just walk away, wondering what if...

 

I probably wouldn't approach them. Something like this happened to me a couple years ago, when I was walking on the neighborhood trail and bumped right into my classmate from elementary school. I just KNEW it was him, and we both even looked back at each other. But as shy as I am, I couldn't even talk to him, despite that he was a nice kid. So I know I wouldn't just talk to someone I thought I recognized from the internet. At best, I'd initiate a few more pointless attempts to use telepathy.

 

However, I have daydreamed about meeting people from here. Just getting together with a couple people, talking about our DDs over lunch. I would love to do that. xD

I would probably approach them, because I would love to talk about it in real life. It has been so nice to realise I'm not the only one doing this. Also, the users of this forum all seem really cool and interesting. The only thing is, I'd be nervous to disturb them in daydreaming.

 

Say I'd meet someone shopping - I read some people can't imagine that task without daydreaming!

Or in public transportation - a long boring bus-ride: what else to do but daydreaming?

In line at the coffee shop - maybe they're treating their characters to a nice cup of coffee!

 

Wouldn't want to disturb that!
