Wild Minds Network

Where wild minds come to rest

I am grateful that this site actually exists because I have known all my life that there is an energy and time drain in my life that is keeping me from achieving my full potential. I was never confident about my hardworking capabilities but I know if I was given a physical task I know I can work hard and complete it but like most people I am  doing knowledge based work and I always get lost in my thoughts and before I know it the deadline is very close or has passed!

I am a ruminator and basically my subsurface thoughts take over the thoughts I should be focusing on . I also know that it is also a sort of gift because it expands my mind but so far I am unable to use it efficiently to improve my life quality.

I think I have found a few techniques to keep my mind from wandering and I am want to implement them on my day to day life to see if they can improve my life.

I would like to keep my self accountable by writing a blog at least once a week.

I relate to this so much! I felt the same way to and actually started a 'Daily Activity Log' journal where I write down everything thing i'm doing from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep. This includes daydreaming and what I daydream about. I even write how long I did it.

So far it's really helpful in creating awareness and motivation to want to curb it so my log isn't full of nothing but daydreaming.

Please post ideas you have! I'd like to add on if I can
