This is a large 3' x 4' painting I did based on one of my fantasy stories. Merle Hanley, a wealthy boutique owner and dress designer of Aberran, one of two planets in the Commondiceaux system (the other is Lendomane), has just been out shopping with her husband in the desert city. She went to the tony Wolf Hill pet emporium Noel Poulet Western Co. with Brett to buy an expensive parrot like the one her friend has, but was upstaged by her egotistical lawyer spouse when he decided to acquire a half-tamed Dread Exotic man on an impulse. Merle is riding home in their private hovercar with the Dread next to her in the back seat. She is not happy about this at all and is scared to death of the ferocious looking Larilander who is of course an exotic creature from Earth.
