My real name is Miranda. I started using daydreaming as escapism, when I was about 12 or 13. At that point, I had a group of friends, and that was where Spell came from. She was my first, my most powerful, my most enduring character. Many of the characters who populate the world inside my head take some of thier history and abilities from X-Men, although I have trouble watching a movie or reading a book without daydreaming about what my characters would do if they were there. I hate movie theaters, because I can't pause the movie to get up and act out my fantasy world. I have trouble watching tv or movies with friends, because I resent the fact that I can't role-play with them there. When I am alone, I talk aloud, move around the room, gesture, and move as if there are other people with me. Walking around, even in public, I am often muttering under my breath, and my eyes focus on places where no people actually are.

I know it is fantasy, I'm not delusional. But sometimes I just can't help it. It's a semi-secret. I've told a few people that I role-play fantasy characters in my head. I just doubt they know how deep, intricate, and consuming those other worlds are.
