Welcome to my island. You’re on a beach. The sand is golden, the still sea, rich with light blues, greens and turquoises; it’s shallow enough to walk through. The beach is small, twenty or thirty yards, perhaps. My own private island. Behind the beach is the towering cliff face of a plateau. Atop the plateau is a lush field of soft, springy grass with a few flowers hither and thither. The plateau divides the islands up into sections, each with its own theme.

Walking clockwise around the island from the beach segment is an archway made in the divider leading to a cavern. The ceiling isn’t visible because of bright grey sheet of snow clouds. A winter wonderland, but it isn’t too cold. The cavern is full of evergreen pine trees, layered with snow; it’s cosy. As you push through the trees, – snow crunching beneath your feet – you arrive at a small log cavern hiding in the corner of the cave. Inside there’s a log fire in a stone fireplace with a warm glow. It’s only one room; a small bed, shelves with personal items and a table and chairs made from a majestic wood. Back outside you follow a path from the doorway to the opposite side of the cavern from where you entered. The snow thins out quickly as you arrive at a short cave, the second divider. The tunnel has an aquatic feel, with rock pools emitting green and blue lights around the cave; not too bright, not too dim. Sounds of dripping water and trickling, miniature rivers echo all around.

As you exit the tunnel, you come to a courtyard on your left enclosed between two tall cliffs - A grand area with marble sculptures of kings, queens and fauna. At the four corners of the courtyard are symmetrical squares made up of perfectly trimmed privets and beds of vast varieties of flowers; all colours included. A white stone path leads the way through the idyllic garden, parting around a tranquil, stone fountain – the centre piece. Meeting up at the other side, the path continues to the foot of a white, stone staircase. At the top of the staircase are the doors to a gigantic regal castle, almost fairytale-like. It’s brightly coloured with spires on top and intricate, stained-glass windows on its face. Inside the fantastic structure is, firstly, the entrance hall with glossy, pearl-coloured flooring with a crimson red carpet guiding you to the rest of your palace. Countless doors lead to a plethora of rooms each one different to the next.
