I also don't like the use of the word "daydream". After researching this condition for about a week because I thought it was interesting (and obsessively researching things keeps me out of my world for a while), I STILL didn't realize that I had it simply because they used the word "daydream". I always called my daydreaming "playing a game" (I called my daydreams "games" when I was little and couldn't think of anything else to call them) or "going into my imaginary universe" or "going to Imaginary Friend World". Plus, "daydreaming" sounds too normal, and the use of the word might be preventing people from taking this condition seriously.<br />

And I definitely get what you mean when you say that real people annoy you, especially when I'm daydreaming or about to start daydreaming.
