I have started MDD again. Feeling guilty about it. Recognizing it is just part of recovery. I think tomorrow if I have the urge to daydream I I’ll read a book

No need to feel guilt about it. Because it's not your fault. It's just the way our mind was created. read a book if it helps. Find something enthusiastic or exciting thing to do. Your mind will automatically engaged to that thing. Daydreaming will reduced automatically. But, be sure that thing is exciting, i  mean you really like that thing to do.
