Valeria Franco commented on Trinity's blog post been gone a long while; social isolation
"Hello Trinity, posts don't have "to make sense" but they can just be the way of telling what's in our mind. A person in my family has been in those sort of facilities a few times, for a shorter period though.  The impression…"

been gone a long while; social isolation

For the first 5 1/2 months of this year, I had stayed in a behavioral facility (not for MD, though I don't want to share the personal details of the reasons why I was there). I just got back home last week. While I was there, I was forced to share an entire living space with several other girls. Think of military barracks. There was one room with bunk beds lining the entirety of one wall. We were supervised constantly. About 17 weeks into the program, a few of us (ones with the best behavior)…See More

Trinity commented on Yelena Cheeli's blog post if you feel like you have an open wound
"This is exactly why I stopped reading. I used to read a lot of novels, but I would always end up depressed for weeks over what I read. I haven't read an actual book in years."

"Hello there Trinity! I'm pretty sure you answered your own question right in there. It seems like your surrounding caused you to retreat to a safe space, and instead of running away, you ran into yourself. But just like running away with all…"

is it normal to rock yourself to sleep?

I've been wondering this for a very long time, but haven't spoke to anyone about it since I'm pretty embarrassed of it. Ever since I was a child, I've rocked myself to sleep while listening to music. Often times I start daydreaming because of the movement, like rocking side to side while I lay in bed or in a recliner that rocks back and forth. Or when I'm in the car, my head will either bounce against the headrest or my body will rock side to side. As a kid, though (elementary school), I only…See More

Valeria Franco commented on Trinity's blog post daydreaming block?
"Yes, it did happen to me too, when I daydreamed. It was weird because I knew daydreaming was wasting so much of my time and there was no reason to keep doing it; but at the same time when all my stories were worn and old after being "used"…"

daydreaming block?

I wonder if anyone else with MD struggles with this, too, but sometimes I have trouble finding something to think about. Like how an artist has an art block. Majority of the time I can easily find a story to entertain me, and when I do I'll often spend hours daydreaming just about it, and sometimes I'll even continue it for days or even weeks afterwards. But every now and again I just feel kind of drained where I can't think of anything. I still have this, kinda like an intense urge, to go back…See More

Anxiety Attack During Daydream

Hi, this is my first blog post. I joined a while ago but I've been too nervous to use the website.

I wanted to share an experience that I had a couple nights ago that kind of scared me.  I normally listen to music while daydreaming at night, typically very late into the morning (sometimes up until after 6 am). Sometimes I think about very sad things that cause me to stay awake.

I was having one of those *moments*- if that's what I should call it- when I was daydreaming about…
