Yeah I had just noticed spammers/scammers where being busy again and warned about it in the main chat. I wonder if there is a better way to warn other members, but this site has its limitations :/ As far as I can see there is not even a way to report these messages or accounts :(
Did you send to that email adress with your own email? If you didn't you're save I believe, if you did then I have to ask around what the consequences of that are.
To be honest I don't know much about the scammers. I don't know what they do or what they try to achieve. I just know they're a bunch of fakers and they're scammers. So I'm sorry I don't know how to help you because I don't know what's about to come. But I'll ask around to see if other members know more about them and I'll think of a way to warn new members.
I advice to not respond to whatever he/she/it sends back. Block that email if you can. Just don't react to it.
I'm sorry this is your first experience on WildMinds Network. I wish it was different and new members didn't have to deal with stupid crap like this, but scammers seem to target new members (a lot of people always get accepted into the site at once which gives them this upportunity). I swear to you the people here are nice and honest people that just like to chat and talk about all sorts of things, while dealing with MDD. I'm sorry you've been given the worng image. Fact is though that this site is outdated, laggy and has many issues. We've been thinking about alternatives but haven't found anything yet, so untill then we'll have to deal with weird 'people' like mr frank here.
