For those of us who listen to music while they DD. Share what music you're into now, which songs you find particularly stimulating, what music helps you dream the most... Find new music if you need some new inspiration.
Can any of you listen to music in places where you can't pace and daydream? I absolutely cannot. I can DD on trains, buses and cars as long as I have my music but if I am in a waiting room since there is no movement going on I have to turn off my music and settle for my short daydreams which are not very vivid. The music and movement go hand in hand so if I were to stay still and listen to music I would freak out because music is such a major trigger. The only way I can stay still and listen to music is if I am checking out a song for the first time.
I don't have that problem. I do pace and listen to music while DDing, but I can DD when I'm not listening to music and not able to pace. I can also listen to music and not DD.
I am the same way I pace so much. It is almost impossible for me to listen to music in public or around people. My pacing is the very reason I have to lock myself in my room to listen to music cause I know it is going to trigger a DD, which will lead to pacing, movements, mumbling, facial expressions...yeah I got the whole enchilada. Now I can listen to music around people, but I have to really focus on not going deep into my dding, and that takes some strength, but I usually can not listen for long in public...my dding will win eventually. So I rip the ear buds out before I lose control in front of people. In a nut shell listening to music in public it not something I do, because I can't do it. See, I understand what you are going through.
I am the same way with movement. I have like a specific playlist that I play whil DD and when I'm not in movement or currenntly DD I'm not interested inlistening to the songs. Out in public I like to listen to music but I avioid those songs because I'll have to be doing somekind of step movements
