Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
Last week, I did something to my foot. I feel like I'm in good company here, so I'll just tell you what sort of stupidity caused it. I was in the middle of daydreaming while listening to music, and was dancing ferociously.
The problem is...I don't normally dance. Ever. So I woke up the next day with what felt like a nerve out of place, causing pain in my foot for several days.
Yes. I actually bruised my spine while daydreaming because I was dancing so hard my head smacked into the top of my spine. Pretty much like in the video you posted. Whipped my head back too hard. / gods know how many things I've tripped over or bumped into / I've definitely hit my head a bunch of times because I wasn't paying attention to my environment . . . yeah.
Yes - I developed Tendinosis in my ankle because of daydreaming - specifically pacing for hours on hardwood floor. Was it on hardwood? Also stubbed my toe about a million times :)
I've been so distracted I've run into things more times than I can count.
