I've started wondering, who I am, what is this life I'm leading, most of it revolving around scenarios that happened inside my head. It feels like, most of us, people like us, are something more, like we hold more than just us within, we are the people who dare to go farther, who dare to believe, who try harder, who dare, who can

Good question!

If I were to make a guess it would bet that most MD'ers are those of higher mind.

Here is an excellent youtube video describing what that means: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqCOss4hqnE

The human mind feels a bit infinite doesn't it? as if our imagination is limitless. I believe that to be the case. Which begs the question if it's limitless why are we confined to a single sense of self? And when I start to feel detatched from that sense of self what are the implications of doing so?

I highly recommend you read The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind by Julian Jaynes. He explains rather efficiently how the mind communicates within itself, and how those thoughts are organized to create a sense of self.

As difficult as it is to wrap your head around a sense of self the cold hard fact is that it's an illusion created within the bicameral mind as an evolutionary advantage. I guess it's a blessing and a curse in a way. To be so grossly intelligent.

The advantage is that we are beings that have the ability to collapse probability or rather manifest the collapse of probability in a way we can control, which makes us extremely wise.  This is allowed because we have imaginations that allow us to experience the world outside of ourselves envision future scenarios or make predictions. This is something species without the bicameral mind cannot do.

The best way to figure out who you are is to really push yourself into situations your soul wouldn't normally feel comfortable in. It's a difficult thing to come to terms with. But creating anxiety is pretty much to only true tuning fork we have to what we find allowances for and what we do not. Anxiety is the key to truly finding out the identity of your soul. Then you'll know what you're comfortable with, what you are not, and how to find balance. That takes time and patience. and a lot of difficult situations. I guess in lamens terms. It comes from growing older taking on more responsibility and remaining mindful throughout the whole experience. This is why western cultures refer to life being suffering (Buddhism), and also why western cultures respect their elders.
