I'm very bad at hiding day dreaming and I allow people to notice me, not realizing it myself. I'll sit at the table eating, but my eyes will slowly daze into space for minutes, at a wall or out the window. Someone will notice and wave their hands, so then I'll know they caught me. Other times, I'll be whispering and talking aloud while working or dressing, and my family can hear this, so they start reminding me. I've had student peers, teachers, employers and co-workers catch me giggling my head off for nothing, staring into space and ranting to imaginary friends, and none of them took it well. Some stopped talking to me and seeing me, even sit anywhere near me. Strangers are even worse. I worked in a few places that involve customers. A few customers have found me staring down at a counter for too long or looked at their face dazed...one even caught me slowly whirling in a circle while cleaning, looking out of it. So, they weren't very happy about it. I must admit, I'm very bad at disguising things.

My reality is so bland, empty and stale in contrast to my dream world. There's scarcely anybody around who cares for me or likes me, which is why I use MD to escape. I'm so quiet that nobody ever pays attention. Actually, most times, I feel like human wall paper.

You might be surprised that not everyone doesn't like you.
You could try sharing what you go thru when you're around someone you know.
My dreamer friend sometimes shares and that makes me like him even more

I do know somebody in my town, and she doesn't know I am a former MDD'er. I too afraid to mention this because we scarcely see each other enough. She also tends to react at things that are not exactly good. I could try to tell her.
