I have to do a report on a disorder or disease in my family. I was going to do it on Depression, so that I could interview my mom, but in light of recent events, I decided I would rather not interview her.

So I've decided to do a disorder that affects myself. Cordellia if you could give me some good web pages or references for the discovery and study of MD, I would be very greatful. :)

This will be very weird, considering I haven't told anyone but two people about my daydreaming, and now I'll be sharing it all with my Anatomy instructor, but who cares, right? I'm graduating in 2 months anyways.

This sounds like a fun project!  I'll get you some links.  Let me know if they don't work.

The guy who coined the term's name is Dr. Eli Somer.  He studied 6 people & thought MD was caused by trauma.  Of course, we've long since found otherwise.  It was an important start, though.

Also, look up work on daydreaming by Dr. Klinger.  I don't have that link, but I'm sure you can find some stuff on him.

Here are Cynthia's preliminary findings:

She's the doc who's currently studying it, and she has a lot of participants.  I'm sure she'd be happy to answer a few questions for you.  Her study is ongoing.  Her email is cschupak@aol.com

Also, you might get the March issue of Scientific American Mind.  It has an article about daydreaming that I was quoted in.  It mentions this site.  :)  I went ahead & posted the article here:

You can always use examples from this site & the Yahoo forum perhaps, to show a human aspect of it.  Those are all the links I can find, but I'm sure you can find more.  That should get you started.  Please feel free to message me if I can help any more, ok?  Good luck on your paper!  I'd love to read it when you're done.  :)
