What's are some good occupations which involve a lot of socializing?

I'm increasingly coming to the conclusion that ultimately the best way to treat MD is socialize A LOT!  If i can somehow build a genuine desire to socialize and not be an introvert, i could probably cure myself.

I understand that. It makes sense.

But you need to value your own perspectives too. Get to know your own mind, the mind outside of MD. You know what the best way to be a true original is? Spend a lot of time alone. ;)

Be careful about investing all the importance in your life in the external world. You will find yourself taking on other people's habits, mannerisms, and causes just because you want to coexist with them.

I also agree with the other people here, that you should embrace your introversion. It doesn't mean you don't socialize or participate in the world. It just means that you have a life inside your head that is so rewarding that you'd never give it up for anyone else. And that life doesn't mean MD.....it means whatever you want it to mean. It is the projects you care about, the subjects that interest you. The books you read. The philosophical puzzles that you are still grappling with. Being an introvert means being an intellectual, and if you work at it, a true original.

Don't let the world convince you otherwise.

Off the top of my head: nursing, teaching, public relations, customer service representative, waiter, cashier, bartender

I don't think socializing a lot can suddenly transform one person from an introvert into an extrovert. I'm an introvert and socializing a lot only drains me even more. If I go into social-intensive careers like nursing and teaching, I will burn out for sure. I know this society values extroversion more than introversion, but introverts do make significant contributions to society. I heard "Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking" is a good book to read.

Are you still studying and looking for part time work or are you just mulling over future professional career options in general?

I think sometimes small, part time jobs that require you to constantly engage with people may help. Like promotional work, stand in a supermarket isle approaching one stranger at a time (sorry now that just sounds freaky but it's not meant to....) . Or voluntary theater work in your free time.
