Watch out for spammers!

Hi, everyone.

Spammers have been a problem on a lot of ning networks for a long time, and unfortunately this one is no exception. Often they will come on and then mass message people saying something to the effect of "Hi, My name is ______, and I would like to become friends with you. Please email me right away at ___________." They used to post those messages in comments, so I would see them and suspend them quickly. Now, however, they've become more stealth. A member just told me she got one as a private message. I CANNOT SEE THOSE. If she hadn't told me, I would never have known.

If you ever get a message like that, please report it to me ASAP. I suspend spammers as fast as I can, but if they're doing it in private messages, I won't see it. Do not email those people, and report them to me, please. I will suspend them as soon as I find out.

If it's a different one, please tell me her name. If this ever happens again, please report it ASAP, so I can suspend the jerks. Thanks!

Comment by Amy Buttz on January 22, 2012 at 3:18pm: I have a couple messages like this. One is on my page on Wild Minds, another came through my e-mail. One of them said her name was Glory Simon [my e-mail] and Samantha [my page on Wild Minds]. Hope this helps you find them.
