Using Bitstrips to Create Cartoon Versions of Characters and Scenes of my Daydreams

Hi everyone,

I am Jennifer and I am 16 years old. I have been part of this site for two years now, and I thought I would share with you something I thought was really cool: I use Bitstrips to create cartoonized versions of my characters and to create important scenes of my daydreams. I cartoonized all of my characters as I imagined them, and they turned out great! They look a lot like they do in my head as a cartoon character. Check out some photos I created with Bitstrip!

I created photos of all of my characters hanging out and having fun, and some photos are of one of my main characters, Lizzie, while she's sick. (Lizzie has a lung/heart disease). So, I created little scenes on the computer so that it is easier to visualize in my head what these people may look like, because I struggle with visualizing a lot. This has helped me have more vivid daydreams.

The first photo is of real people whose appearances fit my characters. So, those are not Bitstrip photos. The rest are Bitstrips. You should try it!!

My characters: Lizzie and Max, Lizzie's group of friends, (Valorie, Tiffany, Emily, Annabeth and Veronica. In no particular order) Lizzie's mom, (Ms. Alice) Max's mom, (Ms. Jill) Lizzie's little sister, (Kaitlyn, 10 years old) and Max's little sister. (Kylie, 10 years old).

Create an account to create Bitstrip: http://bitstrips.com/create/comic/  (A common concern MDers I have talked to about this have is whether or not their Bitstrips would show up on their Facebook pages. The answer to that is no they won't, unless you link your Facebook account to your Bitstrip account, or if you create Bitstrips over the Facebook app. I wouldn't recommend doing either of these is you have created/will create personal bitstrips like I have).

ooohhhh jennifer you know what you should do for fun?
Download IMVU,and not actually play the game but just use it to make your characters. I guarantee if you [lay around with it long enough you can make lizzie and max so easy. They have so many different clothes, faces, hair

I fooled around on there for like 2 hours LOL and then I took a bunch of screencaps ;p
its fun to with with once in a while

Bitstrips are fun but limited. I prefer "the sims" as platform to create a visual form of my characters. The Sims video game has been around for over a decade and has expanded vastly to satisfy wild imaginations. You should try looking up the game, just google The Sims and you'll see what I'm talking about.

PS: My profile picture here is one that I designed with the sims game. Yeah, those four guys are the permanent dwellers in my head (my all time favorite characters).

haii
you saw mine lol I spent so long tweaking my characters faces. I get so into stuff like that.
I think im gonna use bit strip to create comics, but using it as a reference to draw it out myself on paper so I can make them look exactly like how I want. Bitstrips characters are pretty ugly LOL (and kelly just isnt digging any of the hairstyles provided.haha.) I have been sketching my characters a lot lately and think I finally made them look perfect (in cartoon form anyway, but you know like when you watch family guy or a show like that and a celebrity makes an appearance? and the cartoon version looks just like the celeb? yeah.) Its just good for me cause I suck and drawing the poses ehehe so I have a reference. I love making stuff with my characters cause Its so fun to look at afterwards.

anyway i'm ate for humantities and I'm gonna sit through the lecture playing on bitstrips LOL
