Hey,

So, I'm 14 and I love to daydream, I enjoy it, but it's getting out of hand. And, this is just me, but it makes me feel crazy...???? My mum and dad say it's okay to daydream, but I would like to stop. I need to focus more on my grades at school and studying. Usually I imagine when I listen to music, but even without it, it's pretty strong, and whenever I pick up my iPod, I get the urge and pull to daydream...

Please???? Can anybody help.

Its been a long while since I've been in school, but I had trouble keeping my grades up because of daydreaming too.  Now my problem is sometimes keeping focused at work or keeping up with responsibilities at home.  I don't have any tips on how to stop, I don't think I'll ever be able to.  But one strategy that gets me through is to incorporate the daydream into the task I'm trying to get done.  If its some boring task at work and I'm alone, I may imagine that I'm a wizard studying spells or discussing interesting wizardly things with a colleague.  Or if I'm trying to cook a meal... I like to pretend that one of my characters is a good cook and all his friends compliment him on his skills.  Anything to get through the drudgery and on to more interesting things.
