I'm in that awful in-between phase where I'm bored with my current daydream but can't seem to sync up with a new one. I loathe being in this place. I feel almost lost, like after a break-up and your day-to-day life shifts around, if that makes sense. Inspiration has been hard to come by and as bored as I am, I'm still very attached to my current scenario. Ugh. Just frustrated. The end.

Try reading a ton of books or watching a ton of movies. Also, if there are any museums near you, go to them. I live near a large city with a lot of museums, and they always trigger me and give me new ideas.

Or maybe just think of a set of characters you want to daydream about. Come up with the characters first, then think of a storyline that would suit them.

Or just don't try to think of a new story. If you want to stop daydreaming (you might not, but if you did), this could be your big opportunity.

I can definitely relate to what you're saying. It's happened to me a few times. What I decided to do is that whenever I do have inspiration, I start a daydream but don't daydream it a lot. I keep that daydream as my "emergency daydream" for whenever I feel uninspired.

What an interesting suggestion Hauwert. I'll give that a go. Thanks!

I know exactly what you mean! I have that same problem where sometimes I'm just really bored of my current daydream but can't find anything else interesting. Sometimes it just gets 'revitalized' by a real world experience.
