I'm going to Uni in a month, and am worried about my day-dreaming.

I'm terribly excited to start college in August but in the past my day-dreaming has made school challenging. Does anyone have advise about dealing with MDD in such a high stress environment? I'm concerned that I won't be able to finish work or pay attention to lectures if I have an episode. Also, when I am in the midst of an episode I often pace around my room listening to music, how can I possibly do that in a dorm with a roommate? I know that some of you have been in this situation before and any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

hi dont worry, since its going to be a high  stress environment chances are that you will be forced to snap out of day dreams often... although this means a persistent struggle inside your mind... the most important thing i would advice is do no compare your performances with others if its not good.. and dont get dissappointed... its a constant battle.. dont give up..

Hey, hey have to graduate soon, and there was NO DAY i stopped dreaming,

one trick I use during lessons is to write a lot, what teacher says, what teacher write, but I give priority to write what I think the professor wants to say, rather than just copying down what comes out of his mouth. I like it and take me more committed.

I continued to DD in college, but never in my life did I DD less.

Hello, and congrats! I would suggest joining many interest groups and being active on campus. This forces you to prioritize and keeps you busy= little time for MDD. This helped me in college to control it . I did continue MDD but not as much as i did prior to going.. and trust me w/ roomates and people in your room often you cant do it.
