This is one that I had several months ago, but just haven't taken the time to write the whole thing down. Actually I had started it, but there was just too much detail and it was taking too long. So instead I have written a brief summary of the story.

The way I'm writing it out is that 'open' comments are things occurring in the real world, comments that are encased with <> are people or places that exist in the real world, but are
elements of my story and comments surrounded by >> are
completely fictitious.

I was on my way to work, which is a one and a half mile walk for me. It's Sunday. I'm at church, but service hasn't begun yet. I'm in the front room talking with <the people in
my choir group> about whatever. Suddenly my watch starts vibrating
and lights blue. It's indicating that I have an emergency call coming
in. It's only suppose to be used in a "earth is going to be destroyed
situation". I hesitate, but I press the button on top. The call is from
Jason, an associate that works with me on a secret project involving
the city-ship that is buried under part of Portland. He has news that
our allies, the Asgard (in this case named for the similarities to the
race in stargate) have come under attack from the replicators. It was a
surprise attack for we thought the Asgard, as well as ourselves were
off of their grid. The Asgard are a powerful race, but the repliactors
pose a serious challenge. Much would be lost if we lost the Asgard.

Earth doesn't have starships obviously, but a while back I and several others discovered a buried city ship. However it originlly got there we didn't know, but overtime it got covered over
and eventually the city of Portland was built above it. My team had
always considered this fact, that if we needed to defend Earth, this
ship was the only thing we had. But in order to use it we would have to
uproot the city above it. After several years of learning about the
ship and how it worked and discovering that it still had the potential
of functioning, we devised plans for various scenerios in case
something was to happen. We also came in contact with the Asgard and
developed a relationship with them.

When I heard about the Asgard I was reluctant to agree to the use of
the ship, but really we had no other alternative. The ship was not at
full power and it was risky, but I told Michael to initiate the plan to
lock onto any humans on the surface and beam them inside while Jason
prepared the stardrive.

Back in church everyone was staring at me as they heard this
conversation. I advised them what was about to happen, but they didn't
understand. Then the ground began to shake and the people began
disappearing in instances of white light. I was beamed directly to the
control room. Jason fires the drive.

Somewhere near the border of the ship, a child watches as the ground
uplifts before him and neighbors join him to watch. Several miles away
people stop their vehicles and watch as this mountain rise out of the
ground, rock and debris falling in a dust cloud around it, blocking out
the view of what is underneath it. People scramble to get into their
houses. Jason raises the shields and a dozen miles away people see this
bubble heading toward the skies with a shimmer of blue light.

We make it into space and a hyperspace window is opened and the ship
goes in. Tyler determines it will take 14 hours to get to our
destination.

I'm cutting out everything we had to do to get the ship prepped for
battle and the message we had to give to the people who had just been
beamed aboard and how we had to convince them of what was about to
happen and how we requested any military personel to help with the
ships guns and everything else that was happening in that chaos.

Twelve hours into the flight, the ship is hit by an energy wave
eminating through hyperspace and the ship falls out into regular space.
We quickly run tests to see if any damage occured and seek anything of
the like from the ship's database. One of the most serious instances
pops up telling about how a race once developed a weapon to destroy an
army of ships traveling through hyperspace by targeting the energy
eminated from their stardrives, but there were many other cases of
different energy waves that knocked ships out momentarily. Seeing there
was no damage done to the ship, we enter back into hyperspace and
continue on our way.

Two hours later we reach our destination and as we come out of
hyperspace the ship slams into something hard and everyone is thrown
down. The bombardment that follows is heavy and Ben quickly enacts a
one second burst into hyperspace to take us to the otherside of the
Asgard planet. We do and the bombardment stops, but as we get back on
our feet we find the shield was damaged severily and our power had been
drained substancially. Then the lights go out as the city reserves
energy for life support. We are now facing away from the planet and
have no idea what is going on. I tell Michael to turn on the cameras on
the bottom of the ship and Tyler to grab a team and prep a puddle
jumper (small bus-sized ship). The camera flips on and we see a debris
field before us. Tyler flies out toward the planet. He reports to us
that we just passed through an pool of astroids. After much confusion
we realize this is the Asgard homeworld, now blown to bits. Tyler also
received images of destroyed replicator ships in the mess, as well as
Asgard ships.

We are now several hundred light-years from Earth, with only enough
power for life support. The Asgard have been destroyed and we have ship
full of people that were just kid-napped from their homes and who were
confused with what's going on and many are injured from the ship
slamming into a chunk of the planet... What could possibly be worse?

Tyler relays to us that he has spotted a ship moving through the
debris, but is unable to determine if it is Asgard or Replicator. We
put the ship on high alert and prep our battle stations. We don't know
if we could win even against a small ship, but we won't go down without
a good fight.

Tyler returns to base and ship approaches. We finally get a visual and
we don't recognize it. It's not an Asgard warship, maybe civilian, but
efinitely not replicator. We send out a message on an Asgard frequency
and receive a cold but comfirmative response. They dock their ship and
we go to meet with them. They tell us that they are from a small
research facility on the outskirts of the solar system. They had been
in contact with their brethern as the battle was going on. After the
explosion, they sent their only ship out in hopes of recovering the
planet's stargate. We tell them our story and how our ship is dying and
ask them if they can help us. They ask how and we reply that they could
use their ship to shuttle our people to their research facility as our
teams use our puddle jumpers to seek out any sign of the stargate. They
agree and we begin recovery.

After things are under control and I know our people will be safe, at
least physically (I don't know how they will recover mentally from
everything that has happened), I give my condolences to the leader of
the Asgard crew. He nods his head and then returned his own condolences
to me and my people. Catching a hint that he was refering to something
else than what had just happened, I ask him to clarify. He apologizes
and tells us what happened to his home planet.

He tells us that the replicators attacked his people, but they put up a
good fight. In the end however, they were losing the battle. The
replicators managed to touch down on the ground and access sensitive
data in their system. They found the information about Earth and it's
secret ancient starship. (The reason the replicators attack others is
to forcefully acquire more advanced technologies) Seeing that their
world was being overrun, and in an attempt to save Earth, they
initiated the self-destruct of their home planet. Just before the
explosion they sent a message to their people at the research facility.

By the time they received the message, the damage had been done. Along
with the message they received data from the satelites surrounding the
planet. He told us that the explosion occured as the replicators were
opening hyperspace windows. Jason and I turned to each other. We both were thinking about the wave that knocked our ship out of hyperspace. Was this the cause of it? Many of the ships were destroyed, but it is
unknown if any of them made it. If they did, Earth was in grave danger.
Even if we had the city ship here, the replicators would scan the
planet. It is unknown what they would do after that.

Moments after that Jason and I receivd a message from one of the puddle
jumpers stating they had found remenants of the stargate. I asked the
Asgard we were with if their was any other way to get to earth, if they
had any other ships. He said they had only the one and it wasn't
capable of true hyperspace travel. It could go faster than light, but
it would take months to reach a planet with more capable ships.

I turned to Jason and he could see my burning desire to find out if
Earth was okay, There was nothing we could do though. We had to get
these people settled and recover whatever we could from the ship. Only
then could we ride with the Asgard to the nearby planet and make our
way for Earth. But that was months away...

Season finale. Will return in the fall...

So I'm not the only one who has sci-fi daydreams! I also divide my daydreams into "seasons". Every real-world day that passes is an episode and if something really dramatic happens that drastically changes the course of the daydream, then I make it a season finale.

wow! This is really real. It feels like I was watching an action movie. I will as well grow courage and "balls" to post my fantasy.

Thank you for sharing this!
