I'm 27 years old and I've lived part of my life in an alternate reality for as long as I can remember. When I was young I would imagine real life scenerios that I wanted to play out in real life, but very often never had the courage to do so. In my mind I was very outspoken and laid back and everything that I wanted to say would flow out naturally. In reality I was very quiet and what I spoke was without fluidity. I was always baffled that I couldn't mimic to the outside what was in my head. Eventually I decided I just didn't have enough experience with it, but I've never been able to master it. Perhaps the air is not the right medium for me to communicate through. I'm much better at describing myself through thought on paper. One day I might find that I can connect my mind to a computer and 'speak' to others by the way we know as telepathy. I imagine that many of you would agree that our thoughts would be easier that way?

Others have stated that there are certain triggers that set them off and I would have to say sound/music is definitely one for me. Anytime I hear music my mind is immediatedly triggered to imagine a world that the music seems to be describing. Other sounds will trigger it too, like wind chimes. I don't just hear the wind chimes in the background, the wind chimes describe to me the setting they are in. It's kind of like one of your senses triggering an old memory, except in this case I'm creating a new memory of something that doesn't exist. I like to think that this imaginative world is a form of the television. Some people have to have external input for entertainment, while we use the internal.

I've lived countless lives and realities since I was a child. Many of them were shortlived and many of them I cannot remember. I think I wrote some of them down through drawings. I usually take something I've seen such as a sci-fi show and develop a storyline based off of that. Very rarely have I developed a completely original reality. Though there have been times that I've taken some object in my real life and created a story from it. I'd like to share some of those with you as Ruby had asked in one of her posts.
I usually don't take the time to write any of them down, as others have said it's too time consuming and complicated. But since I find this all so interesting and I like to write and I have a little time, I'm going to write a couple enteries about my experiences and perhaps reflect a little bit on them. I hope you enjoy!
