Had a rather enjoyable day today. I decided that i would break out of my usual routine of sitting around watching TV all day, and do something less lethargic. I began with more reading from 'The Time Machine', in which i learnt that going down strange, darkened wells ill equiped is rather precarious. The story is quite metaphorical, in my opinion, with respect to mankind and society; the Eloi representing the innocence and naïvity of humans. The author uses the Morlocks, on the other hand to explore the darker side in us all, lurking in the depths of our unconscious. I would recommend this book for any fantasy-fiction enthusiasts.

My heart goes out to those affected by hurricane Sandy, but who names these? Surely these are some of the most inappropriate circumstances for ironic names. If you want people to flee from these dangerous storms, give them more formidable names; names that make you want to make for the nearest airport (Hurricane Manson or Romney, maybe). On the subject of Romney, the elections are coming up soon in the states. Yeah, i don't care either.

Moving swiftly on, i returned to my interest in piano. The only problem being that, because i haven't had lessons, i can only play chords. This is sufficient enough for sing-a-longs, but reading sheet music is far more impressive and, i suspect, more gratifying. So far, i can read at the speed of about a note per three seconds, making the tunes unrecognisable. Luckily the house is throughout the day, meaning i can sound as aweful as i want and it makes no difference to anyone (if we don't include my self-esteem).

I think that's enough for one night. I think i'll shall finish watching QI and retire to my bed for a good night's sleep.

One final note, the more vigilant of you may have noticed that i have been writing, "i" in lower case throughout this and the previous entry. This is because i'm typing on an iPod "touch" and it gets rather tiresome to capitalise such a common word, therefore you may find this will continue for a while  until i return home. I also apologise for typos or nonsensical sentences as i don't read over what i've written; it makes me cringe.

Anyway, thankyou if you kept with me up to this point and to you all a good evening, goodnight, good whatever phase of day you're facing.
