Let me tell you about myself. My name is alex. I am fifteen soon to be sixteen by the middle of this month and I have been living in a fantasy world since I was six or seven. It started with watching dracula. I quickly became obsessed with them and in one night I used a crush and turned him in my head like a vampire.

As I am reading this it sounds ridicioulous and all.... but that crush turned into eight, then 13. Soon my fantasy grew and I grew. I am not a socially active person. I lived in books and in my room. My room turned into a saftey zone and there behind doors I found "love." Whenever someone hurt me I turned to my "boyfriends." Now I am going to become 16 and I feel tired of playing this game. The twilight saga has ignited it back again... but it feels safe.

I feel loved. I can clearly distinct reality from fantasy but I prefer to go back to fantasy all the time. I've tried to quit but it just comes back. The kid game is now a reality. what do I do

Hey, I personally think that you should just enjoy your fantasy world and embrace it as deeply as you can. Thats what I do. And I can so relate to what you said about turning to your 'boyfriends' :). There has never been a time when I wasnt crushing over someone in my fantasy world! Right now I am in really DEEP with my new crush and it feels SO AMAZING! I feel so high like I am on drugs! :)
Yes, but if you let it take over then you can end up doing more harm to yourself than good.  You must find balance, or you'll end up completely abandoning the outer world for your inner world.  Just because it feels good doesn't mean you should let it take over.  You have to find a way to live in both, or BELIEVE me you'll regret it.
