Possible solution to MD (we really need a seperate forum for these discussions : P)

OK, so my uncle has come down to do building work at my house, and he is a very good Shiatsu healer.  Somehow, we were talking about pressure points. I know that greyartist believes her MD has a hormonal basis (hope you don't mind me saying this, greyartist!), and because of my period *blahblahblah* my uncle told me about this pressure point in your leg (see the picture attached) and if you push it for about a minute or so, then repeat on the other leg, it will balance out your hormones.

I know, I know, this is probably nonsense, but hey, if it works, maybe I'll become famous! Yeah, right. In my DDs. XD.

So anyway, before I start waffling on, the way you find this pressure point is:

  1. (on your right leg) You get your left hand, and place your 5th finger (pinky/pinkie finger, little finger, whatever you want to call it) against your ankle (on the inside of your leg), keep your fingers together.
  2. About halfway down your pointing finger (or 2nd finger to pianists like me), where the lines are, place the finger from your other hand where that is. Press around, make sure to get under the bone.
  3. Find where it hurts the most. This is where the pressure point is. If you plan to do this several times a day (although you probably won't need to) then it will probably be easier to get a felt tip or something to mark the pressure point.
  4. Repeat on your left leg, but with your right hand.
  5. When you have found the pressure point, stimulate it for about a minute, then switch to the other leg. Always remember: this pressure point is on the inside of your leg.

If this pressure point doesn't hurt, it means you have perfectly balanced hormones, congratulations!

I'm not an expert on Shiatsu. My uncle is, but I'm pretty sure he's not on this website. If you have questions, send me a message. There's a small possibility (about what the chance of my uncle actually being on this website is X) that I might know the answer to your question. If I don't, I'll try to get the answer from my uncle, he's the Shiatsu miracle worker : )

I won't tell him about MD (but I'm pretty sure he knows, he's the uncle who I always worry can read my mind) but I will try to figure out a way to ask without him being suspicious, I'm quite a question-y girl anyway ; )

I will attach a picture of a leg. I put the dot on it, someone else I probably don't know owns the actual picture. Where the blue dot is is roughly where the pressure point is. I don't know if this will work on boys/men (sorry, I must sound really sexist), but if it works please tell me! Then I can delete this without guys threatening to kick my little sexist arse (only joking, I'm not sexist, plus I don't think anyone on here would actually do that. Hooray! I'm safe! Lol.)

OK, so sorry for so much waffling, but the point is I POSTED THE (POSSIBLE) SOLUTION! HOORAY FOR ME! LOL!
